FAQ

sleep Ships

Can I prepare myself for dinner?

You are not allowed to cook yourself on a sleeping ship. If you have booked a cabin, you will receive breakfast in the morning. The galley (kitchen) is reserved for the ship's cook.

Does the cook consider allergies and dietary requirements?

If you have dietary needs or allergies, you can best submit this for booking. Often it is not a problem and the cook knows how to prepare an alternative meal with some adjustments. In practice, the chefs increasingly have to deal with special requests and that can not always be taken into account. Sometimes, therefore, the customer will also be expected to cooperate if special products have to be purchased, which will then have to be taken care of by the customer himself, for example.

In what ways can I pay?

You can pay by bank transfer and iDeal

Do I have to bring linens and towels?

On the hotelships, the beds are standard made with quilts, pillows and sheets etc. If the beds are made up, it is clearly stated.

You must bring your own towels unless stated otherwise on the site or in the travel information you receive.

Group accommodation

How many people can sleep on the ship?

The arrangement indicates how many people you can rent the ship. This may differ from the number of persons that can normally stay on board during sailing trips. This is because in winter a cabin is often used for storing the sails or similar. Pay attention to the number of people in the package.

What should I bring myself?

If you rent a ship as a group accommodation, you should, of course, take your own:

  • sleeping bag / duvet (unless stated otherwise)
  • towels (unless stated otherwise)
  • food and drink
  • toilet paper
  • garbage bags
  • tea towels and detergent

Do I have to bring linens and towels?

For group accommodations, the beds are in most cases only made up of pillows, pillowcases and underlays. You need to take care of a quilt or sleeping bag. However, there are increasingly ships where the beds are made up. But this is clearly stated at the ship.

Towels must be taken with you.

Can I cook on board?

If you have booked the ship as a group accommodation with a group then you can of course use the kitchen. Unless the ship says it is not allowed. The kitchens are equipped for large parties, so cookery is no problem.

I can not find the right group arrangement

The group arrangements are packages that you can book directly on the site. But if you want to stay longer on board, for example, that is of course possible. It is also possible to board a different port or to order catering. Contact us for a customized package.

Is it hard to get on board?

It is not very difficult, when the ship is tough to ship, the skippers often lay down a walkway so that you can easily walk over. If you are hard at work please let us know then we make it as easy as possible for you. And there's always a skipper or sailor in the neighborhood who wants to help you.

The ships are unfortunately not suitable for wheelchairs.

Can I go to the festivals on the islands?

At many festivals, Sleepers are in the harbor. These ships take passengers with them for the outward and return journey. You do not necessarily have to sail on your own sleeping ship. You can also sail if you are not going to sleep on a ship at all. The sailing packages are listed at the ships and in the menu bar.
