Who we are

Sleeping ships provides the full range of services related to accommodation ships, from the moment of chartering to the final return of the ship, and offers (full) support during the entire accommodation period. As long as there is water near the destination, we can supply ships for temporary accommodation.

What you are going to do

As a housekeeping employee, you and your colleagues are responsible for keeping public areas clean. You play a crucial role in creating a welcoming and comfortable environment for our guests. Furthermore, your duties include:

• Cleaning public areas: corridors, stairwells, public toilets, reception, kitchen and laundry room.
• Participate in room inspections.
• Making breakfast for the Sleeping Ships staff and the nautical staff.
• Identifying and reporting any deviations and details.

Your profile

• Experience in cleaning, preferably housekeeping in the hotel industry.
• You are hospitable and service-oriented.
• You have an eye for detail and attention to quality.
• Good command of the Dutch and/or English language.
• Preferably you stay on board and otherwise live in the Zaandam area.
• It is an advantage if you have the STCW-Basic certificate or are willing to obtain it at the expense of Slaapschips.

What you can expect from us

The project duration is five years. We give you a one-year contract, with the possibility of extension. We also offer the following:

• Full-time employment (40 hours per week).
• A versatile position within a pleasant working environment, where there is room for your own input.
• Salary of a minimum of € 2.142 and a maximum of € 2.273,11 gross per month based on 40 hours per week (scale 3 in accordance with the general collective labor agreement for the hospitality industry).
• Travel allowance based on € 0,21 per kilometer.

• 25 vacation days per year with full-time employment.
• Pension accrual according to the Horeca & Catering Pension Fund.
• Possibility of board and lodging.
