Who we are

Sleeping ships provides the full range of services for accommodation ships, from the moment of chartering to the final return of the ship, and offers (full) support during the entire accommodation period. As long as there is water near the destination, we can supply ships for temporary accommodation. 

What you are going to do

As a Project Manager you analyze possible risks, problems or changes that could affect the project and make adjustments where necessary. You work closely with your project team and with various internal and external stakeholders to meet customer expectations. You are also involved in: 

 

  • Act as a point of contact for all stakeholders of the projects on site.  
  • Managing, coaching and motivating the project team. 
  • Drawing up monthly reports regarding budget, inspections, progress, etc. to the client and other stakeholders.  
  • Making a project schedule and ensuring that all activities within the project are in line with the set budget. 
  • Monitor project progress and proactively identify potential obstacles, and take corrective action if necessary.  
  • Managing the project budget. 
  • Collaborating with the customer, project team and subcontractors by initiating weekly work meetings, focusing on agreements and actions. 
  • Monitoring contractual agreements with customers, subcontractors and suppliers. 
  • Supervise quality checks and ensure that the end result meets the expectations of the client. 
  • Ensure compliance with and knowledge of all relevant regulations, safety regulations and environmental requirements for a safe working and living environment.

Your profile

For this role we are looking for a connecting factor that can bring different parties together. It is therefore important that you have good communication skills. You also know how to respond quickly and well-considered to unexpected situations. You also have: 

 

  • Completed HBO diploma in maritime engineering, civil engineering or maritime academy with experience in the shipping industry. 
  • At least 2-5 years of experience in project management, where an international environment is an advantage.  
  • Experience in managing a project team. 
  • Experience with budget management and project planning tools. 
  • Possession of a project management certificate (e.g. PRINCE2, IPMA, PMI) is an advantage. 
  • Excellent command of the Dutch and English language in word and writing. 
  • In possession of a driver's license with own transport. 
  • Preferably living in the area of ​​North Holland and South Holland. 

What you can expect from us

Of course there is also something in return. The starting point is a 40-hour contract for 7 months, with the possibility of extension. You can also expect the following: 

  • Gross monthly salary between € 3.498,85 and € 4859,77 based on 40 hours, depending on knowledge and experience. 
  • 25 vacation days per year on a full-time basis. 
  • Travel allowance € 0,23 per kilometer. 
  • Phone and laptop. 
  • A contribution scheme of 10% on top of your gross monthly salary, with which you can save for a pension pot. 
  • A position with a lot of responsibility and the opportunity to give substance to your work yourself.
